Writing excerpts
I've had a passion for writing ever since the third grade. English has always been a strong subject for me and being an author has always piqued my interest. I wanted to share some of my writing and excerpts from chapters of books I'm currently writing or wrote in the past.

Isabella stubbornly gripped her hair in heap above her head before tying it off with a white silk scarf. She rummaged through the makeup bag, hurrying to finish applying her makeup. She never wore makeup because she hated the sticky foundation that never seemed to match her bronzed gold complexion, how it made her face look foreign as it hid her freckles. Mascara seemed to make her already-dark-lashes look like they belonged to a rag doll. Isabella hadn't thought to buy makeup, she'd rarely use it anyway, so the leftover makeup from her mom's old bedroom (that was most likely expired) was a substitute. She sighed and studied her creation in the mirror. Then grabbing a makeup wipe she scrubbed viciously.

Body after body dispatched with gore spread across the forest floor. Will reached out to grab Emma's hand, both trembling. The stench that filled the woods was unbearable.
"Is this some kind of …joke?" Derek asked with clear disgust in his voice. Joseph counted three bodies. He gripped the back of his neck with both sweaty hands. "This is- this is definitely not a joke," He confirmed, after examining a rotting body, male it appeared, face down in the dead-leaf-coated-forest soil.

She flicked open her laptop and began scrolling through social media. Old friends from high school posted pictures with drinks in their hands at buzzing parties, their college courses, dates with their boyfriends and girlfriends, night shifts at work, and everything society told her she was missing out on. Isabella complained to herself how she was wasting her days away, cooped up in her room on her laptop, but with no job, and hardly any friends, options were limited.
An unexpected invitation (chapter 4)
before you date cati 2019
Oak hill was a mediocre town that was both fimilar and foreign. There was your tight knit community's and neiborhoods but over all, the town was very divided and nobody really knew EVERYTHING about it. Which is why the teens loved it so much. Instead of a usual meeting spot, at night they would travel around the town finding new nooks and cool deserted corners. Oak hill was always an adventure. But the town was anything but the perfect place. There was very few Elders over the age of 60 in Oak hill for understandable reasons; nobody was welcoming and it was hard to find things to do or people to talk to, the town was shabby and almost everywhere were trash and scraps, there was a strange atmosphere in the town that was not settling and dangerous. There hadn't been a single new family in town that stayed in over 4 years. Families would come and go within a year and never really became a part of the town. Until 2006.

"You won't last a day here."
Kerry said nothing as she grinned making her way to the coffee machine. She traced her fingers along the buttons with her red gel polished nails. She watched the brown liquid pour out into the mug.
"I went through the messages. 4 guys. Two were brothers," Issac spat.
Kerry giggled, clinking a spoon to the mug. "Good genes."
"Is that what you do? Once they catch on to your witchery? You move on to your next victim."
She laughed, her shrill echoing through the room.
"Is that what you think you are? A victim?"
Isaac looked out the window into the snowy abyss. "You're just a broken boy. With bad impulse control. I helped you. I picked you up and gave you life. You'll never function the same without me."
Her face softened. She sat beside him at the table and reached her hand for his. "Issac, baby..." Her eyes turned to his, "You need me."
"No." He snatched his hand away from hers. Suddenly all the books, movies, and once meaningless memories clicked. "You.. YOU need me."
"I suppose you're right. I need you and you need me. We need each other, don't we?"
his gaze was fixed on the floor, his brain taking in every little detail. "I can't believe it. I can't believe all these years... wasted." His head was buzzing, faster now. "I wasted so much of my life with you...I-"
"Cut the bullshit." Every muscle in her face grew tense. The fiery heat from her breath engulfed him once more. Her whitened teeth, gritted to the bone. The crease in her eyebrows caused slight wrinkles in her blemishless millennial skin. And her eyes. The very weapon that titled her victorious, battle, after battle. Her livid gray irises that cut like daggers, scoping for a sign of weakness; for him to back down in defeat. And suddenly he was the prey again. "You stayed. The doors remained unlocked. Nothing was holding you down. Never once did I hold you at gunpoint or force you to stay with me. You made a choice. Because you need me, Issac. You know you do. And it's killing you."
Issac's breath thickened.
"You will never be free from love. No matter how far a coward like you runs. And that love is still there right now. Because I feel it too. We can put our mistakes behind us and grow."
"You cheated on me. For.... months. I saw the messages. I saw the photos, I saw the evidence..." Issac finally raised his head to face her. His swirling dark eyes interlocked her faded, stormy ones. Hearts that set off a storm, eyes holding their shields, and moths set ablaze. "I kissed her. That was a mistake. One with no justification, sole impulse. But what you've done with those men? That was no mistake."

I awoke, and untied my ruffled hair from a restless night's sleep, letting the curls fall past my back. I sat on the windowsill, my bare feet dangling from the stone edge, eyes glimmering in awe at the the beautiful blue moon. The moon, so lonely, yet everyone knew it, the bright candle in the sky that never burnt out, providing comfort and warmth. The moon made me feel hope for tomorrow.

I entered the palace through a secret passage way I had discovered as a young girl. It brought me to one of the flights of stairs in the main tower. If I could just scoot across the entry way and run all the way up the stairs to my bed chambers, I could change into a new gown, and fix my hair, before mother would notice. As I walked along the sides of the stone wall I picked up that scent that I was so familiar with. It's an old smell of dust and stone but yet, a light linger of thousands of fruits and flowers sent's from the perfume heavily worn on all the woman gathered here. I never wore much perfume except for absolutely necessary places like, under my armpits, and beneath my neck where I would sweat. Even when I did spritz some on, I made sure it was a very daint sent. The smell of perfume was just too strong for me to bear. But every woman in the entire kingdom seemed to love perfume. I wonder how much money the perfume-crafter gets.
